Drawing things I cant afford...YET!

Drawing things I cant afford...YET!

From Scribble to Hype: My Digital Drawing Process (Custom Sneaker Edition)

This piece started with two goals in mind. First, I wanted to see just how realistic I could get a drawing to look in Procreate — really push those digital limits. And second, with a bit of a laugh, I decided to draw the things I can’t quite afford yet. If I can’t buy it, why not draw it, right?

So, this custom Louis Vuitton x Off-White x Air Force 1 concept was born. Here’s how it all came together, step by step:

 Step 1: The Outline

Every piece starts here. Just clean lines on a blank canvas, getting the form and flow right before anything else.

Step 2: Blocking in the Colour

Flat colours first. I picked a rich chocolate tone early on to give it that luxury leather feel, paired with greys to map out the laces and sole.

Step 3: Adding Shadows & Shine

Now the shape starts to come alive. Highlights and shadows give the sneakers some weight and form, nothing fancy yet, just the bones of what’s coming.

 Step 4: Bringing in Texture

This is where things get tasty. I laid down faux leather textures and started hinting at the pattern work, you can just about see the LV monogram creeping in.

Step 5: The Signature Details

That moment when it all starts to click, patterning on point, swoosh stitched in, and laces with a soft shadow pop. I added the “LACET” and "AIR" touches for that designer nod.

 Step 6: Final Polish

Every detail matters here, from the smooth shadow transitions to the grain in the material. At this point I knew I was nearly done.

 Final Result

Here it is, the finished piece. A digital custom that looks like it could be boxed up and sold tomorrow. A full luxury concept sneaker with streetwear roots.

This piece is just one of many on my digital wishlist. Stick around, there’s plenty more to come!
